MSU - Mercury Stabilization Unit
Treatment of mercury for safe disposal
The ZETTL mercury stabilization unit (MSU) stabilizes fluid mercury and converts it into HgS to ensure that the extracted mercury is not released back into the environment in a dangerous way.
The MSU 1800 is designed for 24/7 operation and is an automatically fed unit that carries out an automatic rotation process under vacuum conditions. It is based on a proven and safe batch process technology and has a capacity of 3 batches per day with up to 600 kg per batch. The entire process is carried out in a closed system and is approved to the highest safety standards.
The ZETTL concept chain for mercury recovery makes it possible to prevent toxic mercury from products in our daily lives from ending up in general waste. Every part of our concept creates the conditions to protect the environment and our food sources from mercury contamination.
ZETTL is therefore an important part of the value chain in creating a life with quality.
