Principles of data processing at Zettl GmbH

Which of your data do we process? And for what purposes? 

If we have received data from you, we will only use it for the purposes for which we received or collected it.  

Data processing for other purposes can only be considered if the necessary legal requirements pursuant to Art. 6 (4) DSGVO are met. In this case, we will of course comply with any information obligations pursuant to Art. 13 (3) and Art. 14 (4) DSGVO. 

On what legal basis is that based? 

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is in principle - unless there are specific legal provisions - Art. 6 DSGVO. The following possibilities in particular come into consideration here: 

  • Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO) 
  • Data processing for the performance of contracts (Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO) 
  • Data processing on the basis of a balancing of interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO) - Data processing for the fulfilment of a legal obligation (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c) DSGVO)

If personal data is collected on the basis of consent you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. revoke.

When we process data on the basis of an Interest assessment If we process data on the basis of a consideration of interests, you as the data subject have the right to object to the processing of personal data, taking into account the provisions of Art. 21 DSGVO. object.

How long will the data be stored?  

We process the data as long as this is necessary for the respective purpose. 

Insofar as there are legal obligations to retain data - e.g. under commercial law or tax law - the personal data concerned will be stored for the duration of the retention obligation. After expiry of the retention obligation, it is checked whether there is a further need for processing. If there is no longer a need, the data will be deleted. 

As a matter of principle, towards the end of a calendar year, we carry out an examination of data with regard to the need for further processing. Due to the volume of data, this check is carried out with regard to specific types of data or purposes of processing.

You can, of course, request information about the data we have stored about you at any time (see below) and, if it is not necessary, request that the data be deleted or the processing restricted. 

To which recipients is the data passed on? 

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of the contract with you, if the transfer is permissible on the basis of a balancing of interests as defined in Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO, if we are legally obliged to pass on the data or if you have given your consent to do so. 

Where is the data processed? 

Your personal data will be processed by us exclusively in a computer centre within the Federal Republic of Germany. 

Your rights as a "data subject"

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you.  

In the case of a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require evidence from you to prove that you are the person you claim to be.  

Furthermore, you have a right to rectification or erasure or to restriction of processing to the extent that you are entitled to do so by law. 

Furthermore, you have the right to object to processing within the framework of the legal requirements. You also have the right to data portability within the framework of data protection law. 

We do not use any processing based on automated decision-making including pro filing within the meaning of Art. 22 DSGVO.
