Strategy of specialized locations continues. ZETTL GmbH from Munich expands its network of locations and establishes another branch in Central Germany. Design engineers from the engineering office of ZADCON GmbH are taken on at the traditional location in Dessau.
ZETTL GmbH is a medium-sized company that has been active in machine and apparatus engineering for sixty years and stands for the planning and construction of machines and systems in mechanical and thermal process engineering. The traditional business areas of drying and vacuum technology will in future also include sophisticated technologies for recycling batteries and mercury. ZETTL is thus responding to the growth market for renewable energies and has expanded its product portfolio with the acquisition of BPD technology from MRT System AB for mercury processing.
The development of central process methods for remediation and recycling technologies places the highest demands on the design of such systems. ZETTL GmbH is therefore pursuing a strategy of establishing branches specializing in process engineering. As early as 2018, ZETTL opened a branch in Berga as a competence center with a focus on the design of filter dryers, filter chutes and roller dryers. This was followed in 2023 by the opening of the technical center in Roßla with the aim of being able to test all planned processes and products in the ZETTL portfolio in the test laboratory. In 2024, the strategy of specializing in process engineering will be continued with the founding of the Dessau branch.
"Central Germany has enormous potential in mechanical and plant engineering, many generations of highly qualified technicians are at home here," says Michael Zettl, Managing Director of ZETTL GmbH, adding "we are happy to be able to take on highly specialized designers from the engineering office ZADCON GmbH".
Dessau has been the cradle of rotary kiln technology for cement plant construction for 100 years. The engineering office's designers are highly qualified and ZADCOM GmbH has been developing designs for machines and equipment for rotary kiln technology at the Dessau site for decades. "We therefore believe that this human capital will fit in very well with ZETTL GmbH," says Michael Zettl.
ZETTL GmbH is building up a partnership network. The aim of the sales partnerships is to create synergies in the portfolio and sales in order to serve the markets even better for the benefit of the customers. Thaletec GmbH is a medium-sized company from Thale and a specialist for glass-lined apparatus and equipment in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food sectors. Another partner is HLE Glascoat, which specializes as a manufacturing partner for equipment for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. In the environmental field of battery recycling, negotiations are currently being conducted with specialized medium-sized companies.
ZETTL GmbH has its headquarters in Munich. A branch office in Berga, Südharz and a branch office in Dessau, Central Germany complete the company structure. The current workforce of 22 engineers, technicians and employees generates an annual turnover of 6 million euros.
For further growth, ZETTL is looking for qualified specialists such as project managers and CAD designers both at the Munich headquarters and at the Berga branch.
