The ZETTL Mercury Fine Distiller (MFD) is designed for users who require the highest level of mercury in their distillation process. The MFD 50 is designed for 24/7 operation and is the last step after the BPD or RPD. The unit can purify mercury to a purity of 99.9999 %, which can be used in industrial processes and for scientific purposes.
The fine distillation process takes place in three stages. First, the oxygen phase, in which impurities are removed from the mercury during a 3 to 14 day treatment. Then the nitrogen phase to ensure that all the oxygen is removed from the mercury, which takes about a week. And finally, the actual distillation is carried out in the MFD 50.
The ZETTL mercury recovery concept chain makes it possible to prevent toxic mercury from entering the general waste stream from products in our daily lives. Every part of our concept creates the conditions to protect the environment and our food sources from mercury contamination. ZETTL is therefore an important part of the value chain in creating quality or life.
